Privacy Policy - PadelScore for Garmin

1. Introduction

PadelScore ("the App") is a padel match scoring application for Garmin wearable devices, developed by Maiko Kuipers. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use the App.

2. Data We Collect

The App collects and processes the following data:

• Match scoring data: Points, games, sets, and match results that you manually input during padel matches.
• Authentication tokens: When paired with the PadelScore mobile app, encrypted authentication credentials are transferred to the watch to enable cloud synchronization. These tokens are stored locally on your device and are not shared with third parties.
• Device information: Basic device identifiers used to establish a connection between the PadelScore mobile app and your Garmin device.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect location or GPS data.
• We do not collect health or fitness sensor data (heart rate, steps, etc.) in the current version.
• We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number directly through the Garmin app.
• We do not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising services within the Garmin app.

4. How We Use Your Data

• Match scores are synchronized to our backend (Supabase) so you can view match history and share live scores with friends and spectators through the PadelScore mobile and web apps.
• Authentication tokens are used solely to securely communicate with our backend services on your behalf.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Authentication tokens are stored locally on your Garmin device using the Connect IQ Properties API.
• Match data is transmitted over HTTPS to our backend hosted on Supabase (cloud infrastructure by AWS).
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

6. Data Sharing

• Match scores may be visible to other PadelScore users if you share a match link or share code.
• No data is shared with Garmin or any third-party services beyond what is described above.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Delete your match history through the PadelScore mobile app.
• Unpair your Garmin device at any time through the PadelScore mobile app's Profile settings.
• Uninstall the App from your Garmin device to remove all locally stored data, including authentication tokens.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
